AVIX’s AXH-E230RS Conquers the Challenge of High-Altitude Power Line Inspections-2
After deciding to take on the mission of inspecting power transmission towers across Taiwan’s central mountain range, we completed two successful flights. The first was a test flight from the Erling Branch to the high-altitude scenic Qicai Lake, then back to the starting point. The second flight, a more ambitious journey, took off from Sunhai Bridge in Nantou, crossing the continuous mountain ridges of the central mountain range, reaching Hualien—a 44-kilometer route, with a peak altitude of 3860 meters. After inspecting 74 transmission towers, the mission was successfully completed with a safe landing in Fenglin Township, Hualien County. It felt like letting a child fly off into the distance—witnessing the AXH-E230RS unmanned helicopter ascend higher and higher, pushing its performance to the limits. We watched as it overcame challenges like signal interruptions, turbulent mountain winds, and battery drain during the climb. It was a direct confrontation with our limits, testing the boundaries each time.Flying high above the majestic mountains, AXH-E230RS surveyed the hidden high-voltage power towers, which stood like giants carrying the weight of power cables. Though distant from human civilization, these towers are critical to solving Taiwan’s power transmission needs across its east and west coasts. The AXH-E230RS, our aerial guardian, carried out inspections of the towers and structures, ensuring everything was intact. To cross this treacherous terrain, the AXH-E230RS carried a 30 kg payload, as well as our nervous anticipation, dedication, excitement, and pride. With each takeoff and landing, we faced unknowns and variables, but we rose to meet the challenge. Every flight was executed with the utmost seriousness and dedication.AVIX’s AXH-E230RS, proudly designed and manufactured in Taiwan, starts with the mission of protecting our home.
