Expand technical cooperation on drone subsystems with India.

AVIX Expands Footprint in India Through Strategic Tie-Up with Optiemus

India, the world’s most populous country and a cradle of ancient civilization, has steadily advanced to become the world’s fifth-largest economy and one of the fastest-growing emerging markets. Under the national policy requiring at least 60% “Make in India” localization, Indian electronics conglomerate Optiemus has taken strategic steps through its drone subsidiary, Optiemus Unmanned Systems (OUS), by reaching out to AVIX, a leading Taiwanese drone technology company.
Since early this year, both sides have been engaged in close communications and site visits. The Vice President and technical advisors of OUS have visited AVIX to evaluate its technological capabilities and explore concrete areas of cooperation. These efforts culminated in the signing of a formal cooperation agreement in early April, focusing on the development of gimbal technologies for drone-based optical payloads, alongside other related subsystems.

To ensure technical alignment and thorough system integration, AVIX has also dispatched an engineering team to India. This team supported the integration of AVIX's gimbal and subsystems into OUS’s drone platforms, which were then submitted for field trials under Indian military procurement evaluation—marking a second strategic pathway for AVIX to enter the Indian UAV market.
On April 23, during Milipol India, South Asia’s largest military and homeland security exhibition held in New Delhi, Optiemus officially announced its strategic partnership with AVIX. The joint press release not only showcased the technical integration of gimbals and subsystems, but also highlighted both companies' shared commitment to jointly develop the Indian defense drone market.

Ashok Gupta, CEO of the Optiemus Group, stated that the collaboration with AVIX represents a key milestone in building India’s indigenous manufacturing ecosystem. For AVIX, this partnership follows its previous collaboration with Indian drone companies IIC/TARA, making OUS its second strategic local partner in India.
AVIX Chairman, Cooper Chang, noted that each step into the Indian market is as challenging as navigating the crowded streets of India—slow, careful, but full of opportunity. With prudent planning and unwavering commitment, AVIX is optimistic about the road ahead.
